So its friday at 2:50 and I am waiting outside of Gavin's school.. I was there a little early and I was watching all the other kids playing and getting picked up.. then time kept passing and kids were no longer out side and all the cars were mostly gone... SO I STARTED TO PANIC... I cant find him anywhere and he is always where he is supposed to be! So I go to the office and tell them I cant find him so they call his name over the loud speaker.. then another teacher says that she saw him at the other end of the school with his teacher and that he had gotten hurt... so I rush over there and the teacher said that Gavin had fallen off of the slide at free play just before school was over so she wanted to make sure he was ok.... So I pick him up and we get in the car and I ask him what happened and he keeps saying He doesnt remember and of course I am like "what do you mean you dont remember you just fell off a slide" so he keeps telling me he doesnt remember and then I am like ok fine maybe he is embarressed and doesnt want to say anything.. but then he says "I dont know how I got to the place where you pick me up."" WHAT!! so come to find out he really doesnt remember ANYTHING... he remembers leaning over the edge of the slide and that is it.. so for a whole 30 minutes of his life he doesnt remember.... I took him to the ER and he had a concussion... oh man! I am just thankful that the teacher stayed with him, who knows what he would have done or where he would have went if he didnt remember anything... Hopefully he learned his lesson and he wont be leaning over slides anymore.

Oh my gosh! Too scary! Trevor (Brit's and my little brother) hit his head one summer and actually got amnesia, lost like a month of his memory. The whole story is actually hilarious - including running into firefighters in the ER who raidioed out to the firetruck, "Captain Whitehead, your daughter is in here. Apparently your son's been admitted into the ER." It's a great story, maybe I'll do a memory blog...
Apparently it runs into the family... I ran into a pole (it was dark) and I dont remember like that hole day leading up to it. Atleast mine wasn't as bad as Trevors and lost a hole month. I'm glad Gavin is okay. I'll see you guys tomorrow !
