Family Road Trip

This is officially our first family road trip! We drove to Utah for Suvi's farewell. We left home at 11pm so the kids would sleep the whole way there or most of the way anyway, and it worked!

This is our first stop and fill up in Primm

One by one they slowly woke up , as you can see Gavin is still sleeping in the back. They were looking at all the lights... They thought it was Christmas...too cute!

The kids wake up for a stretch and Mulek takes a power nap.

He wouldn't let me drive " Its too far." And I have no clue how he fell asleep so fast and with all the noise the kids were making.. It gave the kids some times to stretch and pee and for me to nurse makai.... I had to wake him up he was so good, he slept the whole time.
This was about 4 in the morning.. so the kids got to see the sunrise as we drove through the mountains... it was so nice.. just in time to fall back asleep for the rest of the trip.
Aniya's eyes look funny because she was playing with pink kids makeup... Thank you Aunty Suvi!

Even Mulek was getting crafty!

While we were there we did some crafts and went to museum so the kids could get out of the house, because it was so cold.

Leave it to the Moemai's to break some rules... I just want to state or the record that I was not a part of this.

We also took a little trip to the mountains to play in some snow.... Too bad there wasn't any there! Here are the kids in the cabin that was there at the resort.

The kids outside looking for some snow... That Aunty Suvi promised would be there.

OK so there was a LITTLE snow.... just enough to make a small snow ball

The kids and Gma Moemai

Sister Moemai at the MTC..... have fun in Chile

Here were are in front of the MTC. Gavin is not happy as you can see he didn't want to wear in Jamma's in public.... but e left straight from there to drive back home and I wanted everyone comfortable (so they could go to sleep).

Well sleep definitely did not happen on the way home... Makai Screamed the whole way

The boys.... Still awake and we are almost home

Well you can tell Gavin is definitely camera friendly.... he wanted to take a pic with everyone... He doesn't get that from me that is for sure.

I love this pic because you can see the sunset behind us.... I love road trips!

And a kiss for the road!

Laughing with Samoans!!

I decided to take Mulek out to see these guys since he works so hard for us and because I just had a baby and wanted some freedom.. It was nice to spend the eveing with him... Just the two of us... That never happens... And they were hilarious!

Since we've been home

Just an update and a few pic since we've been home.
Makai is now 6wks.. I cant believe it went by so fast. At 5 weeks he weighed 9lbs and 10oz he has been gaining a little over a pound a week for the past few weeks, Doc says he is probably going to be a chub.

This is my favorite age. I wish I could do this all day long.. if you've noticed that is why I havnt blogged for a month.. this is all I have been doing, just cuddling.

Makai's first bath at home, he didnt enjoy it too much.
A lakers Fan already.. what a Daddy's boy !

Growing too fast for me.

He has duck lips... I love it!!

Looking for food.

Gavin is such a great big brother!

The boys taking a nap together!

Gavin is faking can you tell?

Pretending to take a little nap

We are missing one

He just keeps getting bigger

And bigger

He had a little bit of a skin problem here..

cradle cap all over his face and body.. but not on his head.. very weird.

but luckily we found the trick.... VASELINE!

Here is my boy today at 6 wks

lounging in his swing

I think he might look a little like my brother... i think i am the only one who thinks that though

Look at those cheecks, what a chub!

I love those lips I could just kiss em all day!

Its Amazing!

Its amazing to see how fast they really do grow. There is Makai in red and baby Lincoln, naked. Lincoln is only 7 weeks older than Makai and look how much bigger he is..
7 weeks apart...
with the same attitude...
Neither one were very happy, but I just had to get a comparrison shot.

Makai Ietitia Anthony Moemai

He is finally here! On August 11th at 8:30 my water broke, so I called L&D to let them know that my water broke. They told me to come in so they could make sure that is what it really was. Then I called my mom to come to be with the other kids while I went. Mulek was still not home by the time she got her at around 9:30 or so, and I wanted to wait for him. at about 10 I started having a few contractions (they were hardly noticeable) My mom kept telling me that Mulek could just meet us there that we should leave, and me being stuborn didnt want to go without him, but by the time 10:30 came I decieded that I was only going to wait a few more minutes for him because I was starting to feel the contractions and I knew I was at least 4 cm dialated already. So I started to get into the car and Mulek pulls up! hurray! So I change cars and wait for Mulek to take a shower (didnt want a dirty daddy for a new baby!) then we decieded that Mulek should get something to eat before we drive to the hospital just in case it was a while before baby came, so we stoped by McDonalds real fast. Finally we started our 20 minute drive to the hospital. We arrived at the hospital at about 11:15 or so and they checked me and put the monitor on me, and thats when the contractions started to pick up, they were every 2 min. So the doc came in to check me and I was already 6-7 cm and 80% effaced. They moved me to a L&D room right away. Once I got into the L&D room things went by so fast, they had to hurry and put and IV in and take some blood, by then it was about 12 o'clock midnight and I was in some serious pain at that point. I let the nurse know I needed to push and 2 or 3 pushes later he was born. At 12:12 am on August 12th 2008 Makai Ietitia Anthony Moemai was born 6lbs 2oz and 18 1/2 inches long. My smallest baby!

OK.. Now lots of pictures!!

Just seconds after delivery...
